Come and enjoy a true adventure through the Eastern Coastal Plain of the Dominican Republic, departing from the Bayahibe and Bavaro area in modern and comfortable buses, crossing small towns and large pastures (Colonial de Cedro and Miches).
We continue along the coastal road until we reach the village of La Cañita, where we'll make our first stop for breakfast at a traditional restaurant overlooking the sea. After breakfast, we'll head to the La Cañita pier to board a boat and cross the beautiful bay to the province of Samaná. There, a safari-style truck will be waiting to take us on a tour of the town, culminating in a visit to a rural home where a humble family from Samaná lives. We'll learn about the preparation of traditional chocolate and coffee, sample them, and see local fruits and plants.
We'll continue on to the mountains. Once at the ranch, the horses will be waiting for us to ride for about 30 minutes to visit Limón Waterfall. It's one of the most important waterfalls in the Antilles and the Caribbean, both for the amount of water it has and for its abrupt 67-meter drop.
This magnificent waterfall is one of the main tourist attractions of the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. Limón Waterfall is located in the heart of the Samaná Mountains, surrounded by the lush rainforest that characterizes the area. There you can take a refreshing dip, capture memorable photos, and admire its grandeur.
Leaving the waterfall, we took the horses back to the ranch and restaurant to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch.
After lunch, we'll take the Safari again, which will take us back to the dock. There, we'll board a boat to head to the idyllic island of Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island. You can enjoy its white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, or simply soak up the sun under its coconut palms. You can also purchase a souvenir of the area's typical handicrafts.
After so much adventure and enjoyment, we embarked again for the return to Cañita and back to your hotels.
