Join us to explore the city closest to Punta Cana! Higüey, the main city of La Altagracia Province. Departing from your hotel lobby in an air-conditioned bus or minibus, our guides will take you through the countryside to visit a traditional farmhouse. There, you'll have the opportunity to see coffee and cacao plantations, learn about the processing methods, and, most importantly, experience the culture and lifestyle of rural Dominicans. If you wish, you can purchase some organic coffee and chocolate to take home.
Next, we'll head to the city of Higüey, where we'll visit the San Dionisio Cathedral, over 500 years old, built in 1512. We'll also visit the Basilica of La Altagracia, built in the 1950s, which attracts visitors from all over the world. We'll stop for shopping at a local artisan souvenir shop.
